We are no longer running on the micro grid! Duke Energy has installed a temporary substation that will power the town uninterrupted until a more permenant solution can come online.
In case you aren’t familiar with our micro grid, Duke Energy built an experimental solar plant here in Hot Springs. The micro grid was utilized over the past week, allowing us to have power during the days that there was sunlight.
